FUN THINGS TO DO IN MYRTLE BEACH
The Myrtle Beach Blog
Take a stroll on the Grand Strand, catch a live show at Broadway at the Beach, or spend at day at the L.W. Paul Living History Farm. With miles of beautiful shoreline, and world-class entertainment, Myrtle Beach has endless family fun for everyone.
Local History and Outdoor Parks
When you want to enjoy some screen-free family time, a day at the L.W. Paul Living History Farm in Conway is perfect. You can put your gadgets down and experience what life was like on a Horry County farm during the first half of the 20th century. Your family can learn how locals made lye soap, preserved vegetables, harvested tobacco, and milked cows as part of their daily routine. They offer free one-hour tours every Saturday.
Head over to the front of the Myrtle Beach Convention Center to find the Apollo Moonprints in Cement. South Carolinian Charles Duke, the 10th and youngest man to walk on the moon, made these historic prints. He even wore his original moon boots to seal his place in history. It is the perfect spot to inspire your kids and remind them that their future has no limits.
When you need a break from the sand, visit Savannah’s Playground. This innovative, multi-acre park welcomes children of all ages and abilities to play together. You can explore a music park, an interactive playground, an early childhood zone, and an obstacle course complete with climbing bars and zip lines. You will also find a picnic area, a cool-off center, and a nearby pond filled with ducks and turtles. Best of all, admission is completely free.
