Family Fun for Every Budget
Looking to make the most of your Branson getaway? Here are a few ways to fill each day while keeping your vacation budget-friendly.
Meet the Mane Attraction
Before Dolly Parton’s Stampede® Dinner & Show kicks off, head to the Horse Walk Thoroughfare for a behind-the-scenes peek at the show’s incredible horses—quarter horses, palominos, appaloosas, and paints. You can visit them before or after the show, meet the trick riders, and snap a few photos—all without needing a ticket. This fun pre- or post-show experience is completely free.
Play, Snack, Repeat
Challenge your crew to some friendly competition at Dice and Dine, also known as the Branson Board Game Café. With more than 1,300 games and puzzles to choose from, there’s something for every age and interest. Order a latte or snack, grab a game, and let the good times roll. There’s a small cover charge of $5 per person ($4 for groups of five or more, max $20 per family), making this a fun and affordable way to spend a few hours together.
A Selfie Worth a Thousand Bites
Get ready for a photo op you can’t miss! Pasghetti’s is home to the world’s largest meatball (15 feet wide!) perched on a towering fork. Grab a selfie under this larger-than-life landmark, then head inside for classic comfort food in a setting that’s equal parts nostalgic and whimsical.
Step Back in Time
Explore a one-of-a-kind general store packed with more than 250,000 items—everything from vintage toys and quirky souvenirs to old-fashioned candies and collectibles. With trains chugging overhead and aisles full of surprises, Dick’s Old-Time Five & Dime is a place the whole family will love exploring.
Right across the street, stop by Simply Irresistible Old-Fashioned Candy Shop for a sweet treat. Choose from over 120 taffy flavors, classic penny candies, and nostalgic favorites like Sugar Daddies, candy cigarettes, and BB Bats.
Ride the Hills in Style
Experience the thrill of one of the top 10 mountain coasters in the world. The Branson Coaster takes you on a two-person sled down a twisting mountain track at speeds up to 30 mph. With loops, tunnels, and sweeping turns, it’s an adventure you’ll be talking about long after you get off the ride. Drivers: $16.99 | Passengers: $10.99.
A Flutter-Filled Family Adventure
Step into the Butterfly Palace—a tropical oasis where thousands of butterflies fill the air. Walk among them, feed them nectar, or even help release one from the nursery. Don’t miss the Living Rainforest or the Emerald Forest Mirror Maze while you’re there. Admission is free for kids under 3, and a three-day pass for children (ages 4–14) is just $18. Tip: Wear red—these beautiful creatures love it!
Strike Up Some Family Fun
Bowl under the sea at Fun Mountain. With 16 ocean-themed lanes surrounded by glowing sea life, this is one experience you’ll only find in Branson. Rent a lane for up to six players for $40 an hour, plus $3.50 per pair for shoes. Between strikes, enjoy the arcade, climbing wall, or mini golf nearby—there’s something for everyone.
After you’re done exploring, head back to Holiday Hills Resort for a relaxing family movie night at the on-site mini theater. Completely free and right by your villa.
